SEC Seeks Local Input as Crypto Task Force Moves Beyond Washington
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's crypto Task Force, spearheaded by Commissioner Hester Peirce, is expanding its outreach with a series of roundtable discussions across the nation. The next session is slated for October 28 in Scottsdale, Arizona, targeting small crypto projects and industry stakeholders.
Peirce emphasized inclusivity, urging early-stage projects with fewer than 10 employees to participate. The initiative aims to capture diverse perspectives often excluded from Washington-centric dialogues. Interested parties must submit project details to [email protected] with "Arizona" in the subject line.
The roadshow itinerary includes stops in major tech and financial hubs: Berkeley (August 4), Boston (August 19), Dallas (September 4), Chicago (September 15), New York City (September 25), Los Angeles (October 2), and Cleveland (October 24). This geographic diversity underscores the SEC's recognition of crypto's nationwide impact.
